VaVaVa Voom aka "Mabel"

Here's a video of Mabel. She's in heat, hasn't been riden by an adult since March, and needs her feet done. This is pretty much the worst she ever looks. She clips well, trailers great, does showmanship, pleaseure, HUS, pattern classes and needs a home where she'll be used and loved! The second video is just of her bridle. As you can see, we ride her in a short shanked snaffle. She also goes well in a grazing bit.

Zuccinni Runs Amuck!

This is what happens when you don't tend your zuccinni garden in Indiana... They take over the town, grow to be bigger than baseball bats and reproduce like rabbits. And just to warn those that live in Indiana... don't leave your windows down, you might end up with a few of these in your car since I'm pretty sure I won't be eating them all!

And, by the way, if you would like one of these beauts, let me know, I'm happy to share my wealth!

a little update regarding Dad...

Dad is now at Pilgrim Mannor in Plymouth and enjoying himself very much... OK, as much as you can "enjoy" physical therapy, hospital food, etc. But he has found a group of men that have cookie parties at midnight, play cards all afternoon, and all around create havoc on the nurses. He still has a lot of PT to go through before he's ready to go home, but with his hard work it'll come sooner than he thinks.

Mom and I will be going to Anderson within a week to purchase a wheelchair van so he can go out to eat, etc. with us. That in itself will boost the spirits, I'm sure!

WE'RE GOING HOME!!!

Dad's kidney is functioning well and his fever went away last night, so we are going home sometime today!

Roger came over to the hospital to visit Dad last night and then Mom, Roger and I went for dinner. It was a great stress-reliever to have good food and great company!

Update on Dad

Dad's surgery went well on Monday, now the doc is doing a "procedure" to go back through the tubes with a camera to be sure the kidneys are "clean". One little "glitch," though. They discovered he has a hematoma around his kidney. According to the doc, though, this is nothing to worry about and it will disolve in the next few months. He also said that the kidney looks good and is working to the best of it's ability.

The doc has decided that it would be better for Dad to stay another night, so we will be here again tonight and going home tomorrow. I'm hoping we can find some friends to share dinner with tonight and get away from the hospital for a few hours.
