New surgery date

GOOD NEWS!! Dad is in good enough health that they have moved the date for his kidney stone removal from July 22nd to this coming Monday (the 29th)!! Not sure when we'll be heading down to Indy, but I'm guessing that it'll be Sunday afternoon to get him settled into the hospital, get all the bloodwork done, etc. Mom and I will be staying in the hotel that is attached to Methodist Hospital.

I'll try to find a computer when we get down there so I can update everyone as they progress. The last time he had this done, he had 3 surgeries in 4 days to get out all the stones and I'm sure this will be a simmilar trip. We'll see and I'll keep you all posted!

Father's Day

We celebrated Fathers Day at Katherine Casper yesterday. Dad was able to join us outside for a picnic! It was an absolutly beautiful day!

After many attempts at stealing my camera and taking pictures, Joseph finally got one of a real person... usually it's his foot, the sidewalk, under the seat of the van ;)

Here's a pic of my cousin, Duane's little one, Gabby... you can see Aunt Mick and Uncle Russ in the back of the train...

One Hit, One Walk, One Run...

We are in the last part of our Little League season, well actually, we ended our regular season and are now in tourney time... last night Josh's team won again, 11-1 (I think that was the score). He had his best game to date! One walk, one hit to center field (his 2nd RBI of the season!!), and one run scored. Needless to say, it was a celebration!

few more pics

These are from Mom's birthday bash... for those of you that don't know Matt (which is most of you!), he's Kylee's boyfriend. No he doesn't have scabies on his face, just stab marks from Kylee ;) He hasn't figured out the golden rule of cleaning stalls: never, never, never walk in front of a stall that is being cleaned by a girl with an apple picker! I'm pretty sure it hurt Kylee's heart more than it hurt Matt's face.

Happy Birthday to my Madre!!

We celebrated with Grammy and all the kids... the "cake" was so cute, I had to take pictures!

It's Easter again!

Because Dad was in the hospital and quit sick on Easter, we skipped the traditional Easter dinner for ham sandwiches and potato chips.
Heather decided that no one should go without Easter dinner, so yesterday we celebrated with ham, green bean cassarole, mashed taters, gravy, salad... and the most delicious truffle ever! Even though it was a couple months in waiting, it was one of the best Easters ever!!

This was Dad's first "trip" since he broke his leg. Thankfully, he's just a couple buildings away from Grammy's appartment, so we just rolled him over!

Boy, it's been a while since I've updated.

Seems like so many things have changed, moved, changed back and moved again that I didn't have time to keep my blog posted!

Just after the last post (In March), Dad fell and broke his leg. After a couple (or more) months in the hospital and nursing home, he's rehab-ing nicely. He has a "bed sore" of sorts on his heal and will have that removed. The bone is pretty much healed back together and he still has the kidney stones. We'll be making an appointment very soon to have those removed.
